Maple Season 2025 is Here at Mac Hill Maple in Tamworth!
The wait is almost over—maple season 2025 is rapidly approaching, and excitement is building at Mac Hill Maple in Tamworth, NH! 🍁 With the temperatures starting to shift, we’re making final preparations to ensure a smooth and productive maple sugaring season. Tonight, we successfully installed and piped our brand-new reverse osmosis (RO) system, a game-changer in syrup production. This cutting-edge technology will significantly cut down on boiling time and fuel use by removing excess water from the sap before it hits the evaporator, making our operation more efficient while preserving the rich, traditional flavors of pure maple syrup.
With our reverse osmosis system ready to go, it’s time for the next big step—tree tapping! Over the next few days, we’ll be heading into the sugarbush, tapping our maples, and setting up collection lines to gather the first flows of sap. Once the weather conditions are just right, we’ll fire up the evaporator and begin boiling sap, transforming it into the golden, delicious maple syrup that makes New Hampshire famous.
We’re also gearing up for NH Maple Weekend, happening on March 15 & 16, 2025! Visitors to Mac Hill Maple can experience the sugaring process firsthand, from tree tapping to boiling sap, and learn how modern tools like reverse osmosis help make maple production more efficient.
